Legal Forms of Identification
Identification of an individual need to meet certain criteria. When checking a persons identification you need to make sure it is acceptable.
Some “Acceptable” forms are:
- Military Issued ID Card
- State Drivers License
- State Issued ID Card
- Out of State ID Card
- Out of State Drivers License
These forms should include most of the following
- Name of the person
- Date of birth
- Physical description
- Photograph
- Expiration Date
Unacceptable forms of Identification could be:
- Birth Certificate
- Social Security Card
- Campus/School ID
- Check cashing card
These documents can be expired, altered, borrowed, stolen, or forged.
